Cuttlestones’ Antiques Valuation Day

Cuttlestones’ Antiques Valuation Day

Free Antiques Valuation Day with Cuttlestones Auctioneers & Valuers

Ever wondered what that family heirloom is worth or whether you have any ‘cash in the attic’?

Here’s your chance to find out – on Thursday 8th March expert valuers from Staffordshire auction house Cuttlestones will be in residence at the hall; offering free, no-obligation valuations on a host of antique and collectable items.

Everything from watches and jewellery to silver and paintings, medals and militaria, books, ceramics, sporting memorabilia, paintings, furniture – and pretty much anything in between - is welcome for assessment, with auctioneer and valuer Dave Eglington joined by jewellery specialist David Spencer of Eccleshall’s Spencer the Jeweller to give his expert opinion.

Should you wish, you will also be able to discuss the options for consigning your items to sale through one of Cuttlestones’ regular sales.

Please book your space for the day, no appointment time is required

Wedding Showcase

Wedding Showcase

Discover a stately Country House wedding venue…

At Sandon Hall we do things differently – when you book a wedding, the hall will be entirely yours for the day, with you and your guests having exclusive use of the house and gardens.

With this in mind, we also don’t do traditional ‘wedding fairs’ – instead, join us for a showcase where you can discover the delights of this private family home, which has been the Staffordshire seat of the Lords of Harrowby for over 200 years.

From the moment you arrive you will experience the hall as you would on a wedding day – entering via the Victorian Conservatory, where you’ll enjoy a complimentary welcome drink. You can then stroll from room to room through elegant country house interiors; seeing how the library works as a beautiful space for intimate ceremonies and how the saloon perfectly lends itself to the wedding breakfast and evening reception party. Then, why not take a turn around the glorious 50 acre grounds – including the Temple Garden that can be used for an outdoor ceremony with sweeping views – and that offer a picture-perfect backdrop for wedding photographs.

We also promise you won’t get hassled by hundreds of stallholders, but instead will find true inspiration from suppliers hand-picked for the quality of their offering.

There is no charge for the open day – you are welcomed as our guests – but we do ask that you register to attend by clicking the ‘Tickets’ button below…

If you are a wedding supplier and would like to be considered as one of our specially selected stallholders, please call the office on 01889 508004 and speak to Laura or Cheryl.

An evening with Faith Tucker

An evening with Faith Tucker

Classical singing sensation

Join us to enjoy an evening of divine music with the sensational young classical crossover artist, Faith Tucker. A junior student at the renowned Birmingham Conservatoire, Faith’s strong Soprano voice and natural stage presence belie her years; seeing her conquer major concert halls and venues throughout the UK, performing both classical arias in their original languages and musical theatre.

Faith’s repertoire covers a broad range of musical styles, and during the evening you can expect to enjoy a diverse programme - including arias such as Pavarotti’s ‘Nessun Dorma’, George Bizet’s ‘Habanera’ from the opera Carmen, la donna e mobile from Rigoletto, Sarah McLachlan’s ‘Arms of an Angel’ and Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman’s ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ - to name but a few.

To catch a rising star at the beginning of what is set to be a stellar career is a rare opportunity, and we are delighted to host this talented young lady at Sandon Hall for an evening of wonderful music. A licenced bar will operate throughout the evening
